Join me for a morning of Mindful, Compassionate Yoga at the beautiful studio at The Galliant in Camber Sands (part of The Gallivant’s Guest Masterclass Series).
Bringing mindfulness and compassion to the heart of our yoga practice transforms it into a place of refuge. Rather than being a space for performance or perfection it offers a safe haven for care and connection, regardless of how we are feeling.
So often the demands of life mean that our energy and awareness are cast outwardly into the world. We all need moments when our care and attention can fall back on ourselves. Rather than our practice being yet another thing we need to ‘do’ it offers us precious space to ‘be’, to breathe, to listen and tend to our varying needs.
Through our time together we will explore how qualities of mindful awareness (e.g. openness, patience, non-judgment, acceptance, equanimity, kindness) can enhance our yoga practice. Through both slow, flowing movement, breathwork, meditation and restorative rest, we will explore ways of cultivating self-compassion before extending this quality of kindness back out into the world.
The workshop is accessible to people of all levels of experience and those new to yoga are most welcome. The venue has all the props you will need so that we can feel held by bolsters and wrapped in the softness of blankets as we drop into stillness in the afternoon. Just come as you are and offer yourself some breathing space.
Your booking includes:
